- Former commissioners will be working pro bono for the time being – in other words, if enough money is raised, it will be a nice little earners for them in due course and no need to bother with Rem Tribunal guidelines;
- The Climate Institute – another privately funded global warming scarefest outfit – is none too impressed with the establishment of the Climate Council. Evidently, it will be very confusing for everyone. Don’t you just love it?
But three cheers to Greg Hunt, Environment Minister, who really nailed the story: “That’s the great thing about democracy, it’s a free country and it proves our point that the commission didn’t have to be a taxpayer funded body.”
